Helpful information to include would be:

  • Availability
  • Preferred volunteer hours
  • Skills/Expertise/Experience (Carpentry skills/web skills/really frikkin funny)
  • Have you volunteered before? Who with? Doing what?
  • Have you attended Kiwiburn or other Burn events before?
  • Why you would like to volunteer.

You will hear back from the manager of the department you are inquiring about or the volunteer coordinator within a few days.

Volunteering once on site

We encourage people to email in advance if they are interested in volunteering. But if you would like to volunteer once on site, make your way to The Depot where you will find the volunteer coordinator and he or she will be able to find something for you to get stuck in with.

We must reiterate that Kiwiburn does not subsidise entry fee tickets in exchange for volunteer work. This is a participant created festival. Everyone contributes, everyone pays. If you are interested in helping don't hesitate as he who hesitates is lost!
