The Kiwiburn Ministry of Public Works (MPW) is the group that builds and takes down the basic infrastructure of our temporary community. They work hand-in-hand with other departments to ensure the site for Kiwiburn is prepared and ready to receive the participants on arrival.

The MPW needs capable volunteers of all skill levels. Let us know if you have a particular expertise that may come in handy. Although skills are always handy, what we really need is a crew of people that can just get shit done.

"Rowdy ruthless c*nts wanted to do shit work for long hours in hot conditions; pussies need not apply”

MPW are responsible for:

  • Creating/building the man
  • Building community infrastructure like Gate, Greeters, The Depot and Centre Camp
  • Assisting with major art projects including the Temple
  • Assisting with theme camps
  • Creating and placing signage
  • Surveying
  • Cleaning up the rest of the mess after the event

If this sounds like your cuppa tea or if you have questions, send us an email, and we’ll get right back to ya.
