We are now nonprofit!

I’m pleased to announce that we have received official notification from NZ IRD that we are a NON PROFIT ORGANISATION!
In practical terms this means we made some rules changes to ensure no member of kiwiburn (which includes all attendees) receives monetary benefit in excess of the fair market value of their activities. It also means that we get a $1000 exemption to taxable income each year, which puts about $300 more in the kiwiburn coffers annually.
I reckon it’s worth more than that in bragging rights though, eh?
