DESCRIPTION:Welcome ladies\, gentlemen\, and everyone else to our fourth fire night of the year. As with last month we will host workshops for those interested in learning staff\, poi\, hoop\, and all other things. Ask if we have it or come along and see what’s on offer. \nAll are welcome\, even just to watch. Bring some acoustic tunes if you have some instruments our anything else you want to do or play \nPlease follow all rules stipulated on the night or I’ll have to ask you to leave. If you damage things that aren’t yours\, you are liable and expected to cover costs. \nFuel is provided for experienced performers free of charge. \nDonations from spectators are expected and\, as always appreciated\, as it keeps the fuel coming. ($5 a reasonable amount\, but it’s a koha so whatever you can afford.) \nEvent date is subject to change due to weather and if it’s crappy\, we’ll move to Saturday 23rd. If both days are bad\, we’ll have to cancel. Information on postponement or cancellation will be put up before 3pm each day. \nSee you there!

There’ll be an opportunity for those who dare to come try fire dancing for the first time. \nSock Poi will be available for purchase for $20\, and we’ll have limited sets of LED poi available for $60 (cash only). \nA $5 koha is appreciated to cover the running costs of this event. \nThis is an alcohol-free\, family friendly event run by Emote Community Trust. SUMMARY:Application Process: Taking Art to Nevada!
DESCRIPTION:Each year\, Burning Man offer an Honorarium art grant. Auckland Burners are submitting an application for 2016 and the following is our process for the idea that will be developed into the project that we will take to Burning Man in Nevada for 2016. \nWe will have until 30 November to develop this into a Letter of Intent (LOI) to submit to the Burning Man grant process. We will be having many meetings and working collaboratively online to get the winning idea developed into a proposal in this short space of time. We are endeavouring to make this process as collaborative as possible. The LOI requirements can be found here: http://burningman.org/culture/burning-man-arts/grants/brc-honoraria/submit_grant/ \nThen we wait until we hear back from Burning Man as to whether our application has been accepted and we can move ahead and submit a full proposal where we work out every little aspect of the project\, ending up with an amazing piece of art on the playa for all to enjoy.

DESCRIPTION:CIRCULATION is one of Aotearoa’s best-kept secrets: a music and performance based festival being hosted in an amazing earthen perma-culture arena. This year come join us for a journey to Circulation\, just 20 minutes’ drive south of Oamaru\, for a festival that you will never forget!\nThe festival is primarily workshop focused\, with workshops happening almost constantly over three days. This includes circus\, aerial\, fire performance\, dance\, theatre\, comedy\, yoga\, music and many more. Workshops cater towards primarily beginners however advanced workshops are held throughout the festival to accommodate demand. There will be scheduled pre-organised workshops\, as well as open timeslots for people to spontaneously take their futures and that of others into their own hands! \nWe are happy to announce we have food tickets available once again\, providing ticket holders with a delicious and nutritious vegan-friendly (no animal products) breakfast\, lunch\, and dinner\, from Friday to Sunday.
