Wellington’s full-spectrum burner bass extravaganza is BACK – this year with two nights to choose from… or both if you’re up for it! #doublechurburger

After last years event completely sold out in just 36 hours…
CHUR BURN returns to the depths to bring wholesome CHUR vibes, in a nourishing bass-heavy melting pot, for you and your friends to radically express your most Sacred & Profane selves.

FRI 20th -and- SAT 21st of April, 2018. 8pm t0 4am each night.
This is an after-burn party to re-ignite the magic of Kiwiburn festival. 650+ people will come together on a Tug Boat for two equally incredible multi-zone dance parties, hosted by the friendly bass bandits of Barrio Del Chur.

No door sales – this sells out weeks before the event.

NOTE: As always, both events finish time of 4am is dependant on local council granting a license extension from 1am to 4am. This has never been an issue in the past, but it’s still ultimately their decision, and it’s important for us to let you know this. We’ll announce the extension as soon as it is granted.

EXPECT: a spectacular all-night production full of multi-faceted levels of mind-blowing sensory entertainment, sure to fill you with joy, connection and sparkles! We have a spectacular line-up of contributors featuring the paddock’s finest DJs & VJ talent, dance performers, fire spinning, illusions, live art, flavour bombs, party postal service, gifting, and roaming theatrics. Regular street clothes will not cut the mustard!

Come as the most CHUR version of your self. A full-blown rockstar. Tight & bright, ridiculous & revealing, bold & beautiful, fantasy & facepaint. Careful though: things like sequins, feathers and glitter are a NO-NO as they fall off easily and create MOOP! (matter out of place) … in other words, rubbish!

We will transform our floating docked VENUE in to a spectacular wonderland of exceptional visual stimuli – layers of decor, smoke haze, trippy illusions, laser lighting effects, projection mapping, and other out-of-this world visual paraphernalia!
//ZONE ONE: The ENGINE ROOM – The main dance floor arena downstairs in the hull of The Tug, where the DJs let rip, the performers flaunt their talents, the main bar is serving drinks and the party is truly ACTIVATED.
//ZONE TWO: The BAR LOUNGE booth seating, cool and hot refreshments, greeters, coat-check and harbour night views.
//ZONE THREE: CHILL ZONE – An ultra-soft chill space featuring soft lounging layers of super snuggly things: pillows, hammocks, stuffed animals, blankies, combined with trippy decor, visuals, soft UV lighting, and an ever-lasting psychedelic downtempo musical playlist.

VJs: To be announced… You’re in for a treat!

The night will have direction and intention, guiding you on a journey from start to finish, adding each mind-blowing element to your evening chapter by chapter, like a smorgasbord of nourishing party ingredients allowing you to design and control your party sandwich in whatever way you choose to roll.
