Burning Man has released a new initiative to address climate change on a year-round basis amongst the Burning Man community, which centre on three new concepts to be realised of the next 10 years:
- No Matter Out of Place. Handle waste ecologically.
- Be Regenerative. Create a net positive ecological and environmental impact.
- Be Carbon Negative. Remove more carbon from the environment than we put into it.
This is part of making a long term commitment to this planet and how we interact with it, and goes way beyond the Playa. To this end, Burning Man is looking amongst its own community for intellectual, practical, creative and financial input into how to best achieve these three concepts.
