Kiwiburn is looking for a Community Facilitator to join ExCom and help look after the community side of things.
The role is mostly about keeping connections strong across Kiwiburn. You’ll work with Burners, team leads, and ExCom to help ideas, feedback, and information move around the community a bit more easily. The Community Facilitator also supports teams like CommuniTEAM, Consent Culture, and the Data Analysis Team, and helps make sure the values behind Kiwiburn stay front and centre.
Part of the job is helping Kiwiburn keep building better relationships with Mana Whenua, Ngāti Hauiti, and making sure we’re upholding Te Tiriti o Waitangi in ways that are meaningful. There’s also a focus on supporting diversity, inclusion, and generally helping create spaces where people feel welcome and heard.
It’s an ExCom role, so you’ll also be involved in some of the wider planning and decision-making for the organisation.
Time commitment is usually 2–8 hours a week, with a bit more leading up to the event, plus a couple of days on site before Kiwiburn.
