In case you missed it: due to a change in legislation, Kiwiburn needs to re-register as a society. This means we need to review and amend our constitution to ensure it meets the new legislation.
A draft of amendments has been created after discussion at last years community huis. The society will seek feedback on these amendments from the membership. This will include but not be limited to an online hui on Tuesday 17 March 2026. A vote will be held at a society meeting on Tuesday 24 March. Written submissions may be sent to secretary@kiwiburn.com.
Kiwiburn is also committed to a review of it’s organisational structure and further Constitution changes and this is planned to take place after the re-registration has occurred and is scheduled to start in April/May with the initial Community engagement being a hui to allow the whole Community to determine the scope, process, and timetable for that review.
