We’re now 3 months into the year, time is flying by and Winter is on the way. The positive news is that we’re getting ever closer to the next Burn! While we wait, let’s catch up on what’s going on in the weird and wonderful world of Burns.
Burning Man
If you’re here, you know of Burning Man, but you may not be up to date with what’s happening, so here’s the latest on the original and biggest Burn in the world.
When does the Man burn? – The Man burns in 146 days (as of the day this EFP reached your inbox)!
Tickets – General tickets are on sale this month. Tickets for Burning Man work a little differently than they do for our beloved Kiwiburn, having 7 ticket tiers with different pricing and requirements. If you’re not up to speed with how it all works, read up on it here.
Important Dates – Another key element you’ll need is to be aware of all important dates, you can find them all conveniently listed here.
Afrikaburn
Afrikaburn takes place in just 18 days! If you’re heading over, it’s time to start packing!
Did you know? – Just like Kiwiburn, Afrikaburn follows the 10 principles that Burning Man established back in 2004. What you may not know is that they have one more principle than most regional Burn events. Each One Teach One – you may have heard of this on the Paddock, online or even on the Playa. A great addition to the original 10, it revolves around the responsibility of spreading the culture, and passing on the knowledge to others when an opportunity presents itself. You can read more about this here.
Lakes of Fire
Lakes of Fire takes place in just 97 days.
If you are thinking of making the trip to the US of A, stay up to date with all the dates here.
The ticket lottery opens on the 15th of April, so get ready to enter!
Burning Seed
Burning Seed took place last month, from 23rd to the 27th of March. From what we hear it was an awesome time for all! If you haven’t been before and would like to check out what our neighbours largest regional Burn looks like, you can find out more here.
Raglan Burn
The fifth Raglan Burn just took place, from the 31st of March to the 3rd of April. The event was created to foster a local Burner presence in Raglan. If you were in attendance and want to share your yarns, pictures or sing Raglan Burn’s praises, drop us a line! news@kiwiburn.com
Northland Burn
Northland Burn is happening very soon, from the 21st April to the 25th. You still have time to get tickets, along with all the deets, by clicking here.
