Take a break from watching the price of butter skyrocket and take a second to read all about the Kiwiburn Community Department’s expansion!
‘Wait what does the Community Dept actually do?’ – I hear you ask. Well, besides being all round amazing human beings, they play a big part in making sure the Kiwiburn Community is an awesome one.
Here’s a bit more detail regarding what they’re actually here to do: The Community Department’s vision is to support the Kiwiburn community to become more radically inclusive and remove barriers so that everyone can participate and feel accepted as part of the community we love. We want to elevate the needs of marginalised people within the community and organisation. We want to strengthen cohesiveness and enable the community in ways that improve connectedness and inclusion.
To aid in this endeavour, the team are expanding, and have created several new awesome roles.
Now all they need is wonderful humans to fill those roles!
And that’s where you come in.
They need humans for:
– Accessibility
– Community Engagement
– Consent
– Cultural Safety
– Low Income
– New Kiwiburners
– Ngārehu (kids)
– Rainbow
– Rangatahi (youth)
– Sobriety
– Transformative Justice
Loads of roles. All important. All waiting for you.
Check them out on the website here and then sign up here.
Note – if you don’t see a role advertised but want to join the Community Department please email Kat at communityfacilitator@kiwiburn.com
