We know you’re all excited for Kiwiburn and waiting to hear more about ticketing, and we totally get that the silence over the last few months has been frustrating! So today we just wanted to acknowledge this and give a quick update on what’s been going on.
Here’s where we’re at: we’ve created a brand new ticketing system, replacing the need to use Quicket (since sold to Ticketmaster, boo hiss). This new ticketing system is now live, with the lottery being drawn 24 November 2024. However, it’s taken a bit longer than expected and we’ve not been terribly communicative about this.
Why the delay? There’s been lots of testing, some unexpected bumps, and a little internal confusion about who should be doing what, we fully own that. Rest assured, we are now on it and we’re doing everything to ensure tickets go out later this week. Turns out pulling a brand spanking new ticketing system from the depths of nothing and expecting it to go smoothly and on time was a bit naive. Who knew!
