What would Kiwiburn be without the arts?? With visual arts, interactive art, music, performance, and more, Kiwiburn is one of the most creative places ever!
We aim to support and grow the Art Department capacity to facilitate all artforms and general creativity both on and off the Paddock! We want to develop and grow our creative community and culture and to do so we need contributions from the community in the Art Department of kiwiburn!
About the Art Department
The Kiwiburn Arts Department currently has 5 teams that work to facilitate amazing Art on the Paddock!
- Kiwiburn Arts Committee (KAC): This team awards the Art grants and facilitates the granted Artists to get what they need to make the magic happen!
- Art registrations: This team coordinates and liaises with all the non-granted Artists on the Paddock.
- Burnable Arts: This team supports the Effigy and Temple builds and liaises with Artists who have desires to create Art that incorporates fire!
- Mutant Vehicles: This team supports and facilitates the creation of Art cars and other arty vehicles you might want to bring to the Paddock!
ARTery: This team serves three main functions for Kiwiburn – support, celebration and education of all things Kiwiburn Art. Until now ARTery has been an onsite art gallery featuring Burner Art through time and space, with a purpose to serve as a mechanism to connect and drive interaction between Burners and Burner Art at Kiwiburn.
