Burning Man, the mother of all Burns, was hit hard by Covid and lockdown. With the 2020 event cancelled (for the first time ever), the organisation was facing unprecedented financial challenges. For a time, we didn’t know if Black Rock City would rise again. The Burning Man community met the challenge spectacularly – as of time of writing, the “Save BRC” campaign has raised $1,581,434, meeting its $1.5 million fundraising goal. This will enable BM to pay salaries, maintain infrastructure and prepare BM 2021 for a new, post-Covid future. Thank you to all Kiwiburners who were part of the effort! Maybe, just maybe, we can one day travel to Black Rock City and participate in the original Burn once more, thanks to your kindness!
The campaign continues, and you can still donate here.
