Some of you may remember the recycled metal sculpture ‘Paddock Pup’ from last year. The inspiration for this sculpture was the Huntaway Dog, the Shemozzle event held in Hunterville and the fact we got to have a dog on site!
Since the burn, Pup has been busy featuring in the Kimbolton sculpture festival and more recently becoming a permanent public art piece in Hunterville. He’s currently enjoying kennelling at the community owned and recently refurbished Argyle Hotel. He’s proudly sitting in the main foyer where he is on permanent ‘greeter’ duties. The locals share how many visitors enjoy seeing this quirky sculpture.
Artists, please do give a thought to creating permanent art in place – it’s so rewarding and a great way to continue our burner principle of gifting, beyond the burn.
Talk to our arts team if you’re interested in exploring this concept further.
