With so many epic events happening this summer, we want to remind everyone the importance of taking care of yourself (and others) so you can enjoy Kiwiburn (and any other events you might be heading to) safely.
- Hydration – super important! We know a warm DoBro is what everyone craves on a hot summer’s day, but don’t forget the H2O.
- Buddy up! – having a safe person/buddy on Paddock that you check in with throughout the event can help keep you (and them) hydrated, fed, rested, and safe – especially during those big party nights.
- Location, location, location – make sure your friends/camp mates know where you’re headed if you split up.
- Sleep – we know you don’t want to miss out on all the offerings the Paddock has to offer, but making sure you get some sleep will help ensure you don’t miss out!
- Food – making sure your body gets the nutrients it needs to give you the energy you need! And no, beer is not considered food!
- Pace yourself – it’s a marathon, not a sprint. We’ve got 5 glorious days together on the Paddock. Don’t overdo it and you’ll get to enjoy the whole event!
- Support – if things do get a little much for you, don’t forget there is support available on Paddock like Rangers, Sanctuary, Medics, Conduct Committee, and Site Managers. Don’t be afraid to ask for help if you need it, that’s what they’re there for!
