It’s time to vote!
Tonight will be a Special General Meeting to vote on amendments to the Kiwiburn constitution.
These changes will allow us to re-register as an incorporated society. In response to feedback from last week’s hui we’ve added a mechanism to allow members to register motions for the Annual General Meeting, and rather than 15 amendments we’ve combined them so there are now five based their respective sections of the constitution:
- Membership and Committee
- AGM and Society Meetings
- Dispute Resolution
- A commitment to future consultation
- Miscellaneous Changes.
The meeting requires a quorum of 15 members and votes will be by simple majority. Please see the linked documents for the amendments and the proposed constitution for re-registration.
As indicated we will consulting on further changes to our dispute resolution procedures and how ExCom is elected throughout 2026.
