Thank you from RainbowBurn!

Feb 2, 2026

Ah RainbowBurn, how magical you were! Naked hippies frolicking through a muddy Paddock to find the end of the rainbow, carefree and surrounded by the sounds of bass. There’s nothing else like it in this big wide world. This truly was ‘A Work of heArt’. While we are all missing our soggy homes on the Paddock, let’s all take a moment to remember that this all happened because of YOU! All of the big hearted humans who put in the mahi, effort, time, and love to make it all possible. On the behalf of Kiwiburn, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.

All of the incredible year round volunteers, the amazing on-site teams, the inspiring Artists, glorious Theme Camps, and everyone who brought a little piece of themselves to share with the community – we truly appreciate you and everything you do. Seen and unseen. If you didn’t get your Volunteer Patch, reach out to the Facilitator of your team. There were also some unforeseen issues with the stickers this year. Lack of communication from the print company, a change of printing location to offshore, followed by the package lost in the mail and a lot of stress – they did not end up making it to the Paddock. Get in touch with your Facilitator to get a hold of one of these coveted items as well.

An extra huge shout-out to the ExCom team for the epic big rubber mats! When the mud and puddles got particularly gloopy around busy areas, those mats made it possible to walk around without being in the knee-deep soup. They created moments of stability, even when very unstable. To the people leaving those big roles, THANK YOU for everything you have done. Always know that just because you’re leaving the role, doesn’t mean you’re leaving the community. There will always be a spot around the Effigy Burn for you, and a hot chocolate with Baileys and marshmallows at Temple Burn when you need it.

Finally, to the coolest, most wonderful, most attractive and most you-est of all wonderful you’s, dear gentle reader, THANK YOU for reading the EFP and giving us a reason to write these articles. We don’t always get it right but we try our best with the aim of sharing the news and spreading a few laughs (some might say ‘propaganda’).

We hope you take our gratitude and admiration with you out into the wild world and wear it with pride. Keep reading the EFP and we will see you back at Home on the Paddock in 2027.
