Kiwiburn is built on the Ten Principles of Burning Man; guidelines which were crafted to be a reflection of our community’s ethos and culture. As we gear up for Kiwiburn 2023 (less than two months to go!), we’re going to talk a little about each of the Guiding Principles and, whether you’re a total Principle nerd or have never heard of the Principles before, we strongly encourage you to read each blog we link.
Now, this EFP writer prefers to colour outside the lines so, we’re going to start with #6: Communal Effort and #7: Civic Responsibility, because starting at #1 would make too much sense.
Civic Responsibility and Communal Effort are the cool, calm, and collected guardians of the Principles – serious, but also loving and caring pillars without whom none of us would make it through a week on the Paddock. Grab yourself a cuppa (or your beverage of choice) and burrow into the wonderful world of Civic Responsibility and Communal Effort: How to Do the Do-acracy.
