In this digital age, whether you like it or not, social media has become central to how we communicate, share ideas, and engage with current events. These virtual spaces give us opportunities for dialogue and debate, often sparking discussions on critical and sensitive issues, including those that involve harm. While the ability to connect with a diverse community can be useful, it doesn’t come without challenges.
Engaging Thoughtfully in Social Media Discussions About Harm is a shared document, introduced by the Conduct Committee, which aims to promote thoughtful reflection, help us avoid common intuitive reactions which can have unintended consequences, and be a living representation of where our community is at. Anyone can add to the document, with the goal being to enhance our community’s capacity for participating in meaningful exchanges, understanding various perspectives, and promoting constructive dialogue.
