You know how we like to burn stuff? Well, apparently, this requires a lot of forethought, planning, and safety. Who would’ve thought?! This then requires, yep, you guessed it, volunteers! We’re in need of two fiery legends to join the Crew.
Perimeter Lead
You’ll be the fire-safety-lovin lead of the Burn Perimeter Team, making sure everyone stays safe while enormous Art goes up in gargantuan flames. Experience with perimeter, fire, or burnable art is a bonus for this role. Here’s some of what you’ll be doing:
- Rallying an awesome team of volunteers, coordinating shifts, and training them up like perimeter pros
- Working with the Fire Chief to call and supervise the Burns
- A teeny bit of admin stuff

Site Safety 2iC
Partner up with the Site Safety Facilitator to make Kiwiburn the safest flaming good time in the Southern Hemisphere! This role is perfect for anyone with a knack for safety, a love for organised chaos, or a burning passion for helping things run smoothly. You’ll be covering two safety aspects:
- General Health and Safety: Keep our policies, plans, and procedures tight so everyone can Burn worry-free.
- Fire Safety: Oversee anything with a spark – fire, flames, gas, pyrotechnics etc. – and ensure it’s all done safely.
