The Hub, our community space to learn things, share things, and get weird with things has a plethora of Events lined up for Kiwiburn 25 and we want to share them with YOU! Over the next few weeks we’ll be giving y’all a sneak peek at what’s to come – check it out! Here’s Thursdays’ events:
- Festival Friending: Speed Connecting & Conscious Convos – THU 11am, Centre Camp
Build new friendships to kick off your week! Participate in fun connection games and thought-provoking small-group discussions seeded with questions that will make you laugh, think, or both! We’ll also take the opportunity to set your intentions for the week- how will you make this your best Kiwi Burn yet?! Come solo and make new friends, or show up with your existing crew to deepen your connection. Leave with your roadmap to a magical Kiwi Burn and a new community to share it with. Let’s party with purpose!
- Empowerment Self Defence – THU 3pm, Centre Camp
Empowerment self-defence teaches you how to avoid, recognise, resist and recover from violence in a trauma-sensitive way. Learn simple and effective physical skills for protecting yourself, and gain confidence through discussions about healthy relationships, boundary setting and your rights. The course is designed to be inclusive and empowering for everyone. (Ages 16+)
- Art Shark – THU 5pm, Centre Camp
Art Shark is brought to you by KAC (Kiwiburn Arts Committee). It is basically like Shark Tank or Dragons Den but for art projects. Pitch your awesome idea for a Kiwiburn art project and maybe walk away with one of those massive cheques a.k.a an approval in principal for your 2026 grant. Audience participation/ heckling welcome. Half-baked ideas always encouraged.
- ARTery Wine & Cheese – THU 6pm, Centre Camp
Kiwiburn artists and all art lovers are invited to come have a wine and nibble of cheese (non-alcoholic and vegan offerings too) with all your other Paddock artists, Art volunteers and crew.
