Boom, where art, music, new and old friends, hot weather, dust, random encounters, discovering cosmic awareness, losing your tent, changing your name, falling in love with a Portuguese, deciding to go to India or not to go to India anymore… can all contribute to an awesome yet unpredictable adventure!
The Boom Festival takes place near Idanha-a-Nova, Portugal, on the shores of an enchanting lake, few kms away from the Spanish border. The closest main city is Castelo Branco. Boom is about 260 km from Lisbon and 360 km from Madrid (Spain).
This is a camping event. We recommend that you bring a tent, sleeping bag, mattress, poles, tarps and other infrastructures you might need to create a shaded campsite. Prepare for hot weather. Free water is available on site. There will be plenty of yummy food available for purchase in the restaurant area and in the Boom grocery store.
