Kiwiburn is in need of a few stellar humans to join the Traffic Team as STMS-A volunteers (that’s Site Traffic Management Supervisor – A-level certified, for the non-traffic-fluent). If you’re qualified, unflappable, and ready to help keep the paddock moving safely and smoothly, we’d be thrilled to have you aboard.
In this role, you’ll help design, oversee, and implement our Temporary Traffic Management Plan throughout the entire event cycle — before gates open, while the Burn is in full swing, and during pack-down. Picture it as conducting a large-scale, dust-swirling traffic symphony: cones, signs, radios, and a stream of excited Burners all eager to reach their camps, art installations, and magical missions.
You won’t be alone! As an STMS-A, you’ll work closely with the Traffic Team Lead, liaise with councils and crew, support training and equipment logistics, keep communication lines clear, and help ensure everything runs like a perfectly coordinated one-way route. It’s a role with genuine influence, meaningful responsibility, and plenty of community connection — with the added perk of the occasional dramatic umbrella moment. This position also includes access to a crew ticket.
