Be Water Wise

Jan 5, 2026

A friendly reminder for all Paddock-bound humans – there is onsite drinking water available so there’s no need to load yourself up with heavy water containers before you arrive.

Bringing less weight means lower transport emissions, which in turn helps us all leave less trace. Using the onsite water supply is a small choice that makes a meaningful difference with a bonus – fresh, filtered rain water is way tastier that anything you’ll get from a city!

All you need to do is:

  • Bring a sturdy, reusable bottle/jerry can/ container of some sort
  • Make sure it has a secure lid so you can safely transport water back to your camp (if you’ve got large containers, or many of them, a little cart/trolley helps with transport!)

While we’re on the topic of caring for the land, this is also a great moment to pause and consider what else you’re bringing with you. Please avoid packing products like shampoo, soap, etc. These can cause long-lasting harm to the Paddock and can’t be used in the river. Let’s all be filthy hippies together.
