As some of you might have been aware, in the days leading up to the burn a feral kitten was rescued from behind the crew area. Informally named “Dave”, he spent the days of the burn at a leisure health care facility (Thank you, Hunterville Vet Club), where he received excellent care, round the clock cuddles and necessary medical procedures such as neutering, microchipping, vaccinations and deworming. He then travelled to Auckland with his new mum and dad, being the best travel kitten ever, aside from when he disappeared into the dashboard. Who knew there was even space there? He’s now settled in at his new home with a big cat sister and is called Fynn. Happy days!
