$exCom had its second gathering this year and while there is a lot more stuff to come, a few things can be revealed.
– Kiwiburn Decadance will be held 24 till 29 January 2024. Yay, get planning!
– Overall participant numbers will be decided shortly but will likely follow a “Let’s fill critical volunteer roles and then we will release more GA tickets” format, though there is probably a more succinct way to put this. In short, a list of critical roles is being compiled as we speak with the help of team leads, bearing in mind that a lot of these roles are needed regardless of whether there are 500 or 5000 people on site. An initial bunch of tickets will be released with emphasis on filling these roles first, most of which will actually come with a ticket to help entice willing individuals along. Kiwiburn’s amazing vollie system will help with uniting individuals with roles and also let us know if anyone then does not show up for their critical role. Of course that won’t happen, right? RIGHT? We have faith in this community!
