We’re going to let you all in on a not-so-well kept secret… Kiwiburn is run entirely by volunteers! Without our vollies, both year-round and on-site, there would not be a Burn. Volunteering means you’re willing to give your time, energy, and sometimes even hard earned schmacks, without expecting anything in return.
Well, that’s not entirely true. Volunteers can expect many things in return! And not just one of the hottest tickets around (with the right role, of course).
Volunteering can push you outside of your comfort zone. While that may seem a little daunting to some, being outside of your little cushy circle can result in incredible things like new friendships and connections; exciting experiences; stress reduction; learning new skills; a feeling and sense of purpose; and a boost in confidence, self esteem and dopamine.
