Officially, the role calls for:
The Gate 2iC assists the Gate Lead with administrative and onsite tasks pertaining to the Gate, for example rostering, communication with volunteers, documentation management, gate layout and planning, and onsite Gate implementation and management. (So basically, helping the Gate Lead ensure that Gate works as it is supposed to, that there are volunteers working it, and that people with tickets can flow efficiently onto the Paddock.)
Why not jump on this opportunity to be behind the scenes and say kia ora to the Burn pilgrims as they wend their way onto the Paddock? The job description calls for a “deep love of gate”, but we’d settle for a “flirtatious, fledgling attraction for gate” that can grow into love over time.
