Burning Man and associated Regional Events base themselves on some fundamental guidelines, or the 10 Principles. In this series over the next 10 weeks we will focus on each Principle in detail.
This week features Principle 7: Civic Responsibility
This Principle centres on an expectation of participants to keep public welfare in mind because as community members, we value civil society. This applies for organised events, such as Kiwiburn itself as well as any events planned at Kiwiburn and organisers must abide by national laws and district bylaws.
Community members endeavour to communicate civic responsibilities to participants. While every Burn encourages open attitudes, expanding of horizons and exploring the more unusual, doing so within legal and socially responsible limits is essential.
