LARGE Art Logistics Grant Open

Oct 7, 2024

Got a big art project in the works for Kiwiburn but worried about hauling it to the Paddock? Well, worry no more! The new Art Logistics Grants are here to help cover the hefty costs of transporting your artistic masterpiece to and from Hunterville. Whether it’s ferry tickets for your massive sculpture, trailer hire, or even some petrol, this grant is designed to lighten the load – literally!

Here’s the lowdown:

  1. How to Apply: It’s all happening in the Kiwiburn Portal! If you already have an account, log in and head to the Art Grants section. If not, sign up and start your journey to securing that sweet logistics funding. Once inside, you’ll find the grant application form waiting for your brilliant ideas.
  2. What You Get: When you receive an Art Grant, you’ll not only get an email confirmation but also an electronic kit to keep track of all your paperwork. Oh, and you’ll be assigned a super helpful artist liaison who’ll be there to support you through the process – from ticket tracking to health and safety forms. (Pro tip: make sure you save those receipts and upload them, or no refunds for you!)
  3. Bonus Perks: A grant means guaranteed reserve tickets, at least one for you and potentially more for your essential crew (you’ll still have to pay full price, but hey, peace of mind, right?). You’ll also be expected to register your art piece, snap pics to prove you made the thing, and evaluate how the process went afterward.
  4. What’s Covered: The Art Logistics Grant can help cover the costs of inter-island ferry tickets, trailer hire, towing vehicles, and petrol. Sadly, it won’t cover the cost of actually building your art or transporting yourself—just the art itself.
  5. Important to Note: Most grants are paid after you submit valid receipts, but if upfront cash is needed to get the wheels rolling, chat with the Art Grant Committee, and they’ll see what they can do. Also, don’t forget: MOOP sweeping (Matter Out Of Place) is non-negotiable! Leave no trace, folks.

Finally, make sure to check out the Art Setup Guide so you’re ready to hit the ground running when it’s time to bring your project to life on the Paddock. If you have any questions, the Kiwiburn Art Grant Committee is always there to help.

But MOST IMPORTANTLY: you only have until 15 OCTOBER! Get a wriggle on.
