Here’s a wee taste of what’s happening across the global Burn landscape – the wins, the setbacks, the magic, and the movement. Whether you’re heading overseas or just like keeping the flame alive year-round, here’s what’s up:
Nowhere Burn – Spain
Counting down to dust in Spain? Nowhere is locked in for 1-6 July 2025! Which means that it’s happening as you read this sentence. How cool! It’s supposed to be a party of special magnificence, we can’t wait to hear how it goes! Check out their homepage if your curious about GoingNowhere.
Burning Seed – Australia
In some hard news, Burning Seed 2025 didn’t go ahead. Despite over 720 tickets sold, rising costs made the event unsustainable this year. This isn’t a collapse-it’s a pause. The Seed Crew made the call with care and deep love for their community. Our companions across the ditch will return.
AfrikaBurn – South Africa
AfrikaBurn 2025’s Out of the Blue in April was a huge success! Now the team is already looking toward 2026. If you haven’t seen their Event Archive yet, go check it out-it’s a swirling blend of art, stories, dust, and inspiration. A surefire way to get yourself hyped for Burn season.
Burning Man – Black Rock City
The Theme for 2025 is Tomorrow Today, and the build-up has begun! Burning Man 2025 kicks off on 25 August 2025 and will of course, be an epic kerfuffle of apocalyptic good-timery. (Think Fury Road, but with hugs).

NB: Ignition Festival, held in the misty magic of Matamata, has taken a bold stand against the tyranny of the modern internet-by creating a website that proudly declares its own nonexistence. “This isn’t really a website,” it says, while absolutely being one. If you’re looking for actual info, head to Facebook, or click the mysterious sign-up forms lurking just beneath the digital shrug.
