Renewable Energy Burner Community Symposium

Nov 7, 2022

Artists of the Paddock, have you ever dreamed of unplugging your generator? Have you ever squinted up at the cruel summer sun and wished you could harness its power for good (or evil)? Good news is, you can stop twiddling those green thumbs about it! RAT is here to help you do exactly that at their upcoming symposium.

‘A symposium run by rats?!’ No, don’t be ridiculous. Rats don’t invite human’s to their events, and their bouncers are very discerning. We are, of course, speaking about the Renewables for Artists Team – a group of savvy, practical Burners who have made it their mission to help artists switch from generators to renewable energy.

Coming in hot from Black Rock City, RAT are here to support you in designing, acquiring and troubleshooting a solar system for your Kiwiburn project. Their symposium (details below) will cover what the Burning Man Organisation is up to with renewable energy, and plug you into a community of folk committed to reducing our dependence on generators. While this is aimed primarily at making renewable Art for the Paddock, the skills and knowledge are also highly relevant for Theme Camps who are interested in reducing their carbon footprint. The event is free and open to everyone with a sunny disposition.
