We all know Kiwiburn is about Radical Self-Expression, but we’d like to remind you that it’s also about radical responsibility, towards your fellow Burners AND the pristine Paddock that is our temporary Home. Here’s how you can help keep it that way.
- Ride smarter: Halve your emissions and double the fun – find a travel buddy on the Rideshare Facebook page.
- Water wisely: Leave the giant tanks at home and use the onsite taps! Bring a few litres per person for the car ride and emergencies, plus a container to carry water to your camp.
- No suds in the river: Leave your shampoos and soaps behind – nature doesn’t need Pantene, she’s silky smooth already.
- Shop local: Stock up on food from local businesses. Less packaging = less waste!
- Scrap smart: Collect your worm-friendly food scraps and feed our onsite worm farms. Less stink, more sustainability, happy worms! Win/Win/Win.
- Share the love: Donate unopened non-perishables (and spare gold coins!) to local food banks via Leftover Love. Drop-offs available all week at The Depot, Temple Paddock before the Burn, or at parking on Monday.
There’s no better time or place to practice sustainability; especially with such an incredible Sustainability Team heading up such awesome initiatives!
