The Quiet Mahi That Makes a Big Difference

Jul 20, 2026

Not every Kiwiburn volunteer role involves radios, hi-vis, or building something that glows. Some of the most important work happens quietly, behind the scenes. The Conduct Committee is looking for thoughtful, level-headed volunteers to help ensure our community remains a safe, respectful place for everyone.

If you have experience in mental health, mediation, conflict resolution, complaints handling, or trauma-informed practice—or you’re known for your empathy, sound judgement, and ability to navigate difficult conversations with care—we’d love to hear from you. The role is confidential, meaningful, and collaborative, with most of the mahi taking place around event season (around 1–3 hours a week).
