A brand new art grant has appeared, and it may be just what you’re looking for! Given we had some changes in the art that has been funded, KAC has a little spare Dosh to help fund this new grant.
So what’s it for? It’s to help you transport large art works to the paddock for KB24. We’ve heard from the community that transport costs are a large barrier for artists bringing their art to the Paddock, so we want to help.
This grant type is for supporting the logistics of bringing existing large artworks to the paddock. This includes returning artworks – so dust off your old beauties and bring them to the 20th Kiwiburn.
We can help with contribution towards costs such as:
- Inter-island ferry tickets for the artwork
- Hire of trailers/towing vehicles
- Contribution towards petrol costs
What we will not fund:
- Build costs
- Artist transport costs
We are going to cover between 10-50% of costs for each applicant. The KAC granting criteria will be applied to all applications, which you can find published on KB website, you can check it out here.
Interested in applying? Fill out the form on the website and the artwork will be evaluated at the nearest decision date to your entry.
We aim to do two rounds of decision making – this is so that everyone in the community has maximum opportunity to access this fund while also providing fast responses to those who apply so that they can have certainty on being able to bring their art.
Key Dates
- Grant opens Saturday 9th December
- Round 1 decisions Monday 18th December
- Grant application closes Friday January 5th
- Final Decision round Saturday January 6th
As you can see, you don’t have too long, so if you’d like help to get your artwork on the Paddock, hop to it! Let’s make the Paddock more beautiful than ever before.
