AfrikaBurn 2024 is nearly here, it’s set to take place from the 29th of April to the 5th of May. AfrikaBurn is a Burning man regional event that takes place in Tankwa Karoo, located between the Northern Cape and Western Cape Provinces of South Africa.
This year’s theme is ‘Creation’. The description of said theme, taken from the website, reads ‘CREATION is an inherently dynamic process, born from our principle of Immediacy. Being present in the moment, adapting, innovating, and transforming the raw materials of our thoughts and emotions into something tangible and meaningful – focusing on the value of the experience and the process of creation rather than the result.’
One of our own, Joanna, our wonderful Comms 2IC, is heading over this year so we’ll be sure to pester her for pictures of the Burn upon her return to Aotearoa.
