While it’s undeniable that Kiwiburn was amazing this year, there was definitely some less than amazing behaviour that took place on the Paddock.
If you encountered unsavoury behaviour, such as non-consensual bum slapping, trespassing, uncool language, theft, sex acts (in the middle of the effigy run, like what?) or open masturbation, report it to the conduct committee with as many details as possible. This includes name (if known), location, time and date, any identifying marks or items, anything else worth reporting and encourage others to do the same.
While we acknowledge that nothing is ever perfect and we police things as best as we can, we do rely on you, the community, to help out as we have limited resources and services available to act, especially in the moment. We are keen to educate and to prevent these instances from happening at all, and we are more than happy to take action against any one person, but we need to know more. Otherwise this behaviour gets normalised and will happen again. So please don’t hesitate to get in touch!
