It’s been a while since we have looked at other Burns – cancellations abounded and travel was restricted. But it’s time to wake up and smell the burning wood – Burns are restarting like embers in a fire. The Clan (AfrikaBurn’s effigy) burns in 18 days, which means Burners will be heading into the Karoo desert in less than two weeks. Magic. Afrikaburn is much reduced – from 12,000 participants down to 5,000, and they are testing out a whole new site and layout this year, so it’s all very re-boot like. We will report back on how it all went, and hopefully some of us (me, I am talking about myself!) may head to Africa for Afrikaburn 2023. Fingers crossed.
