This year, the Temple of the Heart, designed to look like an upside-down desert flower with a stem reaching up into the sky, will grace the Playa in all its glory. Designed by Ela Madej and co-lead Reed Finlay, the Temple aims to create a feeling of being near a heart, wrapped in love for those who seek solace and respite.
Every year, the Burning Man Temple grant covers only a small portion of the total Temple expenses. The rest is covered by many donations, both large and small, given by those in the community to make the Temple a Playa reality.
