Tell us a little about yourself.
My name is Tristan Cordelia (she/her pronouns), known as Tris. I’m a musician and historian from Wellington, and have been to three Kiwiburns, most recently as part of the Museum of Inconvenient Teapots Theme Camp.
Firstly, what does the Communications Team Member role involve?
So far, mostly writing articles for the Electric Fencepost
How do you spend your time when you are not doing things related to Kiwiburn?
Playing music and hanging out with my partner and friends. I also have a day job.
Being involved with Kiwiburn can take a lot of energy. How do you re-energise?
I actually find Kiwiburn energises me creatively – though I do take a day off to recharge physically on returning to the default world.
Do you have a favourite Burn outfit?
Mesh top, booty shorts, and puppy hat. #freethenipple
What skills have you learned by being involved with Kiwiburn?
Being more open and outgoing with other people, more willing to share my thoughts and feelings and care for others.
What has been your favourite moment at a Burn?
My favourite Burn moments are those times when I strengthen a friendship by sharing things we might not share in the default world.
What are you most excited about for Kiwiburn 2021?
Honestly, just the fact that it will happen at all is really exciting.
