- Lakes of Fire 2026: Grand Masquerade
This week from the 15th to the 19th ofJuly, in Luther, Michigan is the fantastic Lakes of Fire and this years theme is ‘Grand Masquerade.’
“Our home hosts theme camps and open camping, but everywhere you look people will be sharing their music, art, and fiery fun. Lakes of Fire revels in the creative carnival atmosphere and non-stop smile that you have always brought to it.
Lakes of Fire is the Great Lakes Region’s official Burning Man Regional Event and is conducted in accordance with the 10 Principles.”

– AfrikaBurn 2026: Prism
AfrikaBurn 2026 took place from April 27 to May 3. The week-long desert festival was held in a secluded location near the Tankwa Karoo in South Africa. It featured extended electronic music sets, immersive stage designs, and fire and art installations centered around the official theme “Prism”.
The event saw approximately 11,000 participants descend into “Tankwa Town” to build theme camps and display interactive art including the interactive, explorative work titled ‘Switch on, Switch off,” by the awesome team of @s2sart. The art piece shown below was designed to be entered, not observed. It is a towering brain-shaped sanctuary designed to help participants pause, reconnect, and step away from global noise. The piece features a quiet interior space filled with light and sound, and allows participants to exit by sliding down a DNA-inspired helix.
