Are you passionate about project management, community building and organized chaos? As we get closer to our Kiwiburn 2027 event it’s time for our Event Management Team to grow! As 2IC, you’ll spend the year supporting our Event Manager (Lauren/Loz) in event logistics, management coordination, emergency response protocol and assisting our wider Kiwiburn teams in developing their departments and resources.
As a part of the Event Management Team you are expected to have a broad understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and be interested in upskilling your project management and community development abilities.
If you are interested in learning more about Event Management but are not ready to commit to a 2IC role we suggest you apply for the General Event Management Team (applications opening mid August, or reach out directly to express your interest at eventmanager@kiwiburn.com) to get a good feel for the responsibilities of the Event Manager. Additionally it is up to the discretion of the ExCom and Event Manager to determine if they will take on multiple 2ICs and who shall be the successor.
