Do you have a coveted Kiwiburn ticket? We need you! There are some serious jobs to be done for Kiwiburn 2021 and we need you on the team helping us make the Burn sparkle like a sparkly magic unicorn. And we need existing ticket holders to step up! Got a friend struck in the STEP queue and want us to release more tickets?

Email now and make the magic happen:

Sanitation Lead

Do you like to get your hands dirty (in order to keep others clean)? Do you dream of wallowing like a pig in shit, for the good of your fellow Burner? Have you ever spent an evening scheming how to spruce up a porta-loo with funky art? And do you want to play a major role in keeping Kiwiburn 2021 COVID-safe? Then gee, we have the role for you: Sanitation Lead.

As Sanitation Lead, you and your intrepid team of night-soil-dealers will make sure Kiwiburn’s toilets are pleasant to use, restocking them with paper and hand sanitizer. This year, you will also oversee COVID safety requirements. And if that’s not enough, you’ll have an excuse to flit about in a cape with a cartoon poop on it, just to let everyone know who really rules the Paddock. Successful applicants will be strong leaders with a creative streak, will need to be available for up to an hour a week leading up to the Burn, and on-site from three days prior to the gates opening, working full time throughout the Burn.

Site Office 2iC

Kiwiburn is also looking for someone to volunteer as Second-in-charge of Site Office. You would help ensure everyone visiting Site Office gets the info and support they need as soon as possible, and be on site from the 11 or 12 January to provide admin support to the Event Management team and Build Crew. During the Burn, you’d attend some of the Site Office shifts, and then stick around for a couple days after the Burn. The abilities you need for this job are good memory and communication skills, and knowledge of Google Suite.

Previously Advertised Positions Still Seeking Applications

Kiwiburn is still looking for volunteers to fill these roles previously advertised in the Electric Fencepost:

Crew Support

Site Manager 2iC

Site Safety Facilitator 2IC

Health and Safety Officer 2IC

You can find more information and other roles at Kiwiburn’s Volunteer Opportunities page.

If you see yourself in one of these roles, apply by emailing volunteer@kiwiburn.com. Tell us which role/roles you are interested in and we will take it from there!
