Social Media Reminder

Jun 30, 2025

Many of you use social media for Kiwiburn updates and community connection, which is cool – that’s what it’s there for. Part of this coolness is giving our community a voice, a chance to share thoughts and opinions, a chance to be heard. Not everyone is going to like everything, and not everyone is going to agree all the time (welcome to social media!).

However, allow us to make it abundantly clear:

  • The Kiwiburn Facebook page is designed to give everyone the opportunity to be heard
  • Post approval is turned off, so posts DO NOT require approval and we rarely delete posts
  • We will not censor you (we’re all adults, we can censor ourselves, right?!)

If your post is not showing up: rest assured it is Meta itself who is the culprit – not us – it’s out of our control! It’s likely that your post goes against their community standards (whether or not you agree with their standards is, again, out of our control!). As platforms such as Facebook increasingly use AI tools to monitor and control what is shared on their sites, it’s likely that they will be more stringent on what is allowed to be posted, and more of your posts will be caught out by this! So please take this into account when deciding what to post.

Finally, just a quick reminder, please treat everyone on the Facebook page with respect, it’s fine to disagree, but not to ridicule.
