We know you are awaiting news on refunds and here it is:
Refunds are now ready and are expected to be processed this week on Thursday/Friday.
The amount that you will receive back is $170.42 per ticket – this is the original ticket cost of $195.00, less the pro rata share of costs incurred, which we have calculated to be $24.58 (the $4.75 booking fee is always non-refundable). This is made up of the $15 membership fee (non-refundable) and $9.58 per ticket for already incurred expenses such as Art Grants, insurance and site related costs such as consent and licences. For more info on where ticket money goes, see here (click on Ticket Revenue under More Ticketing Info). The exact financial breakdown will be made available on the Kiwiburn website shortly.
Other important notes:
- Every ticket bought will be automatically refunded.
- The refund will be made to the debit/credit card used to make the original purchase.
- The refund will be made to the person who originally bought the ticket from Quicket – if you have transferred your ticket to someone else, you will need to pass their refund on to them.
- It may take up to 7 working days for the credit to be reflected in your account, so please be patient with the process!
Please remember that this refund process is separate to developing a potential first right of refusal policy for Kiwiburn 2023 tickets. This policy may be applied differently depending on whether the 2022 ticket was for crew, artists, for example. We will look for some input from you and conduct community consultation before such a policy is finalised. So for now, everyone will be receiving a refund, but we are keeping track of prior allocations and will consider those in our strategy for ticket sales for Kiwiburn 2023.
