Reminder: Community Tree Planting Discussion

May 29, 2023

Today! Tuesday 30 May, 6pm – 7pm

Are you passionate about tree-planting, community regeneration efforts or carbon responsibility? Come join us for a chat to discuss how we might collectively address some of the Kiwiburn Leave No Trace mahi yet to be completed (hint: emissions!), while also helping out with biodiversity, co-benefits, community building, and environmental learning.

We will cover our approach to date, hear from camps already on the journey and combine brain power to plan our way forward. Some questions we will explore include:

  • What are camps and general campers currently doing to counter their emissions? Are they counting their footprint? Already taking responsibility for their carbon?
  • What collective efforts could be possible? Do folks want to lend a hand volunteering? Hosting our own planting parties? Experiment with other mad carbon removal options?

This discussion will be held online on Tuesday 30th May 6pm – 7pm, use this link to join – see you there!

P.S. If you aren’t able to make the session but are still interested in the topic, get in touch with us through sustainability@kiwiburn.com
