Kiwiburn’s new Community Department needs leaders for three of its teams: Accessibility, Consent, and Rainbow.
The Accessibility Lead will head our efforts to break down accessibility barriers. This means liaising and listening to the community to help overcome the barriers currently making it harder for some to participate in the Burn. The role is about two hours a week year-round, and requires you to be responsive via email and slack to liaise with others to set and reach accessibility goals.
The Consent Lead will guide Kiwiburn’s efforts to ensure participants keep each other safe by embracing the principle of consent. This means liaising with the Consent Club, Rainbow Lead, and Comms team as well as the wider community to develop strategies to ensure this principle receives the respect it deserves. The role is about two hours a week year-round, and requires you to be responsive via email and slack.
The Rainbow Lead will collaborate with the wider Kiwiburn rainbow community to make our Burn safe, inspiring, and empowering for LGBTQI+ participants. The role is about two hours a week year-round, and requires you to be responsive via email and slack (we’ve said that line three times now, *magic occurs*).
