Were you one of the 165,000 Burners who participated in the Burning Man virtual Multiverse in 2020? Or did you miss out first time round and were hoping to get another crack at joining in a virtual Burn? Well good news folks, Virtual Burn is back in August 2021! Six worlds in this multiverse have been announced, including 2D, 3D and VR interactive spaces, a live-stream from the Playa, and a Build-A-Burn world in which you can create your own virtual camp. You can read more about these worlds here. If you’d like to participate as an artist, developer or volunteer, they have a participation form you can fill in now. Dates and more details are to come.
This doesn’t necessarily mean that there will be no real world Burning Man in 2021 – watch this space as Covid precautions and the human need to go a bit crazy in the desert battle it out over the next few months!
